First Official Sacrificial Lamb Announced
GoMarquette.com is announcing this season's non-conference opponents on a daily basis. The season opener is against Prairie View A&M on Friday, November 12 at 7:30. Prairie View was #272 in the RPI last year and loses their leading scorer and rebounder.
Yesterday, we learned that the exhibition game will pit MU against St. John's of Minnesota.

Any word on a scrimmage?
I know in the past couple years we’ve played a scrimmage against another upper division team instead of a second exhibition game. Anyone heard anything about that this year. I assume we’ll do it, just curious as to who it would be against.

I assume we will as well
but I haven’t heard anything yet.

God our non-conference schedule sucks...
this game is going to kill our rpi come March…we’ll probably be stuck playing in the “First Four” now.

I assume that's directed at me
and once again, I will respond that I understand why we must schedule these games. That doesn’t make them any more bearable to watch.

can we get some late 100s RPI teams?
you’d think the administration would realize the effect it has on RPI by now

Like Brad said, everyone plays these crap games. Enjoy them for what they are, and pray to Baby Jesus that we don’t soil the linens and lose one of ’em.

North Dakota State FTW!
My two favorite teams are the Tigers and Brewers. Drunk tigers. That sounds about right.

You don't hold that one over Bucky's head?
I have so much to learn about Marquette.

We would, of course, if the Bison hadn’t beaten us in our own tournament the very next season.
Now you made me talk about it. Barf.

Ah, my apologies
I’m still getting used to this rooting for a team that has expectations after rooting for a team with none for so long.

Yeah
That totally ruined it. It was fun to rub Badger fans’ noses in that one for about a year. Then karma totally bit us in the ass.
