Monday Morning Bracket Update: 1/24
What they're saying about Marquette's NCAA tournament chances on a chilly January morning:
Friend of the Program Andy Glockner brings Marquette back into the fold after bumping Team Bubble Watch from the bracket last week. Always a sucker for a good storyline, Andy has 11th-seeded Marquette doing battle with Minnesota and former Golden Eagle Trevor Mbakwe.
SBN's own Chris Dobbertean also included Marquette in his bracket for the first time last week, pegging Marquette as one of the last four in the Dance.
Jerry Palm -- as of January 18 -- had Marquette as an 11 seed, also facing No. 6-seeded Minnesota. (That link goes to Palm's twitter account, since there doesn't seem to be a way to hyperlink to his bracket. If I can figure it out, I'll do it.)
ESPN's Joe Lunardi has Marquette solidly in the tourney: MU is an ascending 10 seed in Lunardi's bracket, facing an incredibly shaky North Carolina squad in the first round. I'd sign up for that.
Bracketology 101 sees Marquette as an 11 seed, too, and pairs them with sixth-seeded Florida State in the first round.

Playing UNC would be fine
As long as it’s not IN North Carolina. I don’t know why we can’t win in that state.
But at this stage of the game I’ll play anyone they’ll give us. It beats an NIT home game.
We all have to chase one rabbit. If we try to chase two rabbits we won't catch either of 'em.
Indeed, I just wanna get in the dang tourney
On a better note (AKA a vanquished foe’s woes)
WVU lost a player!!!

Hugg a Buggs wasnt too happy. Apparently you can exist in the world, but still be a “nonentity”. He seriously said that, no joke, honest!

I see that Casey Mitchell has also been "suspended indefinitely"
That “suspended indefinitely” seems to be used quite loosely these days. I’ve seen it mean 1 game…..I’ve seen it mean the season…..I’ve seen it mean he’s not welcome back on the team ever. So who knows. Anyways, its too bad ‘cuz I’d like to see WV crank out a good record in hopes of them being a good W for Marquette. In other news, the Notre Dame win is really looking good now!
He was suspended "indefinitely" before the season, too.
Didn’t miss a game, as I recall.
I’m not smart enough to look at the other stuff and do anything but drool and mumble.
