Your ESPN College Basketball Marathon Open Thread

- 3am - Cal State Northridge @ Hawaii
- 5am - Drexel @ Rider

- 11am - Belmont @ Memphis

Turned on ESPN for the start of the marathon
Mrs. Brewtown got very excited about a Gonzaga basket and then said, “Oh, this is bad. We have to turn this off or we’ll be here all night.”
We’re still watching after the under 16 time out.
She’s been awake for over 25 hours now.

WVU - Kent State should be good.
Really interested to see how Huggy handles his team this year.
We pull our pants up and do our jobs here.
RAF IS CALLING THE GAME.
Along with Sean McDonough, but who cares.
Also, there’s flipping NO ONE at this game.
This had better not be a preview of the Louisville attendance for MU.

Huggy’s pitching a fit!
Kent State up 43-41 with 14:50 remaining.

I worry about Huggy's hypertension every year
Ever since he had a heart attack at the airport on the way to Milwaukee way back when.

Right.
But this seems like the type of team that might cause THE BIG ONE.

He's already halfway to dressing like Fred Sanford.

I'm trying to decide how scary WVU is for Marquette.
On one hand, they’re down at home to a Kent State team playing its first game for a new coach.
On the other, Kilicli & Jones have 28 rebounds with 11 on the offensive end.

In other words:
they look a lot like WVU’s team from last year?

With way less experience.

I wonder how long...
the ESPN marketing department had to meet with Disney Parks to get them to agree to be the sponsor for the Tip Off Marathon.

Had four points total with 15 minutes left in the half,
have only hit 2 threes so far, and they’ve somehow managed 36 points in the first half.

Make it 39.
But they’re down 7.

What the hell happened to WVU
Poor shooting? Bad D? Too many turnovers? All of the above?

17 turnovers.
Six from Truck.
Nine points total from the bench.
Shot 37% for the game, even though they grabbed 18 offensive rebounds. Shot 57% from the line.
Bad, bad, bad.

HAH!
I was just ripping Truck because it’s fun and because I remember DJ shaming him.
