Chelsea Heier and Ciara Jones picked up weekly awards from the Big East for their play against Notre Dame and DePaul this past week.

Heier was named Freshman of the Week for the 5th time this season. Heier averaged 14.83 assists/set in the weekend's matches in the process of helping 4 different MU players hit over .300, while the team as a whole hit .377. Heier's strong assist numbers helped her maintain her Big East lead in assists/set at 11.81.

Jones was named to the Big East Weekly Honor Roll for the second time this season. Jones powered Marquette's first ever sweep of Notre Dame with 18 kills on .739 hitting. Her 14 kills against DePaul led Marquette on Senior Day and helped her to stand 4th in the Big East with 3.62 kills/set.

Marquette returns to action on Friday night at the Al McGuire Center in the Big East Championship against Seton Hall.
