Marquette avoided the hitting problems that plagued them when they played Seton Hall earlier this season as they hit .307 as a team to pick up the 3-0 (25-22, 25-21, 25-23) sweep of the Pirates. Ashley Beyer's 17 kills led the Golden Eagles, followed by Holly Mertens tying a career high with 15. Ciara Jones also broke double digits in kills with 11.
