I think winning against Vanderbilt at HOME is a better chance than beating Bucky

I think we have a better team than them, but the Kohl is just too much of an inexplicable advantage.

Even so, 11-2, I think Washington might give us a surprise.

I could see losses in 2 of the 3 games...

@ Wisconsin
vs. Washington (neutral site)
vs. Vanderbilt

But that is the very minimum at 11-2. I think 12-1 with a good chance for 13-0. Having the toughest opponents in Washington (after graduating Isiah Thomas) and Vanderbilt (ranked 7) coming at home. There is no way they go 10-3 or worse I believe.

I think they win the Paradise Jelly tourney. Beating Winthrop, Miss., and Virginia/Drexel.

Agreed

Anything more than two losses will be disappointing. I think we should win the P Jam. Then there’s really only 3 games that look like possible losses. If we don’t manage to get at least one of those, it’ll be a bummer. Likewise, it will suck if someone we don’t expect jumps up and bites us – like GB or someone.

Thus I’d say 11-2 is to be expected. 12-1 would be strongly encouraged.

We all have to chase one rabbit. If we try to chase two rabbits we won't catch either of 'em.

Washington's in NYC, though.

Although much closer to Milwaukee than Washington.

Good point.

Could spell trouble for a west coast team. Game is at 9PM EST, so I don’t know if that will hurt them. The travel could.

I forgot about LSU

But I don’t know that that’s completely unwarranted. If I recall correctly they were nothing special last year. Still the trip to Baton Rouge could be dangerous. That could end up being the loss we didn’t foresee.

I thought about that.

They weren’t good last year. I really didn’t pay attention to their recruiting, but going down to Baton Rouge could be as you suggested. I expect them to win and handily, but never know.

I see now

I missed them because it says “Louisiana State University” on the schedule.

It’s like, who the hell is Louisiana State University? Aren’t they the “Ragin’ Cajuns” something? Oh, that’s LSU, like as in the Tigers from the SEC? Well, they seem entirely less impressive when you write their whole name out.

I went 10-3.

I think a 2-1 Paradise Jam is a reasonable expectation, and I’m predicting 2-2 for the sum total of Wisconsin, Washington, LSU and Vanderbilt.

Now that's great tasting chicken!

Who cares

This is why they’re “trolls” – devoting their “precious” time in an attempt to “sabotage” our poll that in the end has no bearing on anything.

Upside

They considered this poll important enough to screw with.

:D

Tough Tough Non-conf schedule this year

No room to bitch for those that have complained about playing a bunch of nobody’s and UW in Nov/Dec every year.

2 True road games against BCS schools, a neutral site tourney, an additional neutral site game against a quality Washington program, and finally a home game versus a talented AND senior laden Vanderbilt. That said, even with our Top25 ranking, I suspect 2 losses is expected (@UW and 1 of LSU, Wash, Vandy) with 3+ entirely possible. If we can come out of all that with 1 loss or less, we could have a special season in the making.

At the very least, we will likely see whether or not these highly touted youngsters, ie. Vander/Jamail Jones/Jamil Wilson/Juan Anderson, will ever be the players they were supposed to be before they got to MU.
