Your Post-Game Dejection Thread: LSU 67, No. 10/10 Marquette 59
I hope everybody enjoyed the top 10 ranking while it lasted, because that fun's over for a while now.
In a brutal loss that's likely going to drop YOUR Marquette Golden Eagles down a seed line (or two?) come March, MU gagged away a 13-0 lead to start the game and faceplanted its way to a disheartening 67-59 loss to an LSU team that had lost to Coastal Carolina, Northwestern, and South Alabama this year.
We'll have plenty of time for the postmortem tomorrow, but for now, we drown our sorrows in the Post-Game Dejection Thread.

Actually, I think they’ll kick us out of the Big East for this loss.

You overreact after every loss
This loss was brutal, but it’s still a road loss to a BCS opponent. It won’t kill us. I’m more worried about DJO and Otule’s knee than tonight’s result

You can't overreact to a loss to LSU.
This is like losing at Providence or Rutgers. It can’t happen.

So:
ramping down expectations for the Big East season, yes?*

Yes, I do not believe we can win the big east now.
Our team just did not have the level headedness that I saw earlier in the year, I dont know what was going through their heads. So many boneheaded decision and lapses on defense.
Its solace to know that we gave the game away, rather than LSU winning it. Fine, just a little solace..
I don't get this.
Another team having a bad loss doesn’t make our loss any less bad, does it?

of course you don't get it
Lawyers don’t get anything.
Good teams have bad nights. KU losing reminds us of that.

This wasn't a bad night.
That’s the part that you’re not getting.

Seven assists on 21 baskets.
Not going to win much that way.

Can we all agree on something?
Since we’ve seen the first loss and Buzz had better have everyone’s attention at this point: Next person to violate team rules gets cut.
Restoring carousel. Come help.
I'd take it a different way:
since DJO was rusty as hell after a 10-day layoff: Buzz suspends somebody else for a team rule violation, HE gets cut.
