With a loss in Baton Rouge against LSU, Marquette slipped in the eyes of the voters in both college basketball polls. The AP voters dropped the Golden Eagles by four spots to #14, while the USA Today/ESPN coaches poll voters had them only tumbling three spots to #13.
Two wins during this voting cycle over Vanderbilt and Villanova will go a long way towards helping Marquette move back up the polls.
