1) Marquette has men's and women's lacrosse coaches: Joe Amplo and Meredith Simon Black.  Amplo was listed in an 2009 ESPN.com article as an assistant coach to keep an eye on.

2) The #23/#24 Lady Eagles play NR/#23 St. John's Red Storm tonight at 7pm CT at the Al McGuire Center.  All general admission tickets, hot dogs and sodas will be available for only $1 each.

3) Marquette senior Nick Szczech ran the nation's 10th-fastest time in the 5,000-meter run on Friday at the Meyo Invitational to win the event in 14:17.52.  That time qualifies him for the Big East Indoor Track & Field Championships and is about 30 seconds shy of the automatic qualifying time for the NCAA Championships.
