Given Brewtown Andy's sarcastic comments about KY dodging a matchup with Marquette, I thought I might point this out...
Back in Marquette's heyday in the 1970's, Marquette and UCLA did try to schedule games together. The problem was, Marquette wanted a "One and One" series, where UCLA would play in Milwaukee one year, then the Warriors trek to the Pavillion the next season.
John Wooden's Bruins, though, just wanted a "One and Done," where MU would just come play a single game at the Pavillion. They didn't want to play at the MECCA, where the Warriors rarely lost.
Al and Hank naturally balked at that offer, therefore two of the most successful programs of the '70s never clashed in the regular season.
