Women's Basketball Game 15: Marquette vs Louisville

Terri Mitchell's squad puts their four game winning streak on the line tonight at 6pm Central when they take on #13/#14 Louisville (12-2, 1-0) in the (snicker) KFC Yum! Center. The Cardinals are the third ranked team that Marquette (9-5, 0-1) has faced this year following losses at UW-Green Bay and at Notre Dame.

Sophomore guard Shoni Schimmel leads a quartet of double digit scoring Cardinals with 14 points per contest. 6 different Cardinals average more than 4 rebounds a game, led by senior forward Monique Reid's mark of 5.4.

Louisville controls the all time series between the two squads at 13-9. Marquette won the most recent contest last season in the Al McGuire Center.
