Word on the street is Fab Melo is much much improved.
And looking more like the guy that was a top10 recruit. This scares me….along with their 6 other true bigs.
Needless to say, im scared

No shame in losing to Cuse.
There is some shame in losing like this, though.
We pull our pants up and do our jobs here.

in search of silver linings
Look at the next 10 games on the schedule. We gotta step up, but they are very manageable.

Not for a team this soft.

I know there is not much value in a moral victory
But Im happy with what I saw out of the guys today, the heart of a MU team that seemed to have been lacking at some major game during the year. They came back down 18, on the road against the #1 team in the country that vastly outmatched them. Thats gotta be worth something. Again, its a moral victory but we had no size on them and still rebounded decent and if this was at the BC, would have won this for sure, since there were plenty of home-cooking calls going on. On to SJU, Pitt, and Louisville. I fully expect to win all 3 seeing what I saw from these guys today.
Down 23.
Rallying from down 18 would have been a relative picnic.
Restoring carousel. Come help.

I don't know what to think
One hand: Came out in what looked like a carryover of the 2nd half at G’town. Careless turnovers, unmotivated defense, and settling for jumpers rather than aggressively getting the ball in the paint.
Other hand: Syracuse is #1 in the nation, we played in their building (don’t get me started on that, see WB’s “And1” reference), and not to mention the size of their roster was a complete mismatch. In spite of all this, and digging ourselves into an 18pt halftime deficit, we managed to cut it to 2 with 4 and change to play.
I was disappointed with how we reeled it in so close, then pissed it right back away in the final 4 due to more sloppy play and horrible shot selection, but I’m not going to put too much emotional stock into this. We’re sitting at 1-2 with what was likely the worst roadie of the season already behind us. Let’s see what happens next week and then decide whether or not we can all jump off the hoan bridge together or not.
