Practice has already started, so that means the next step towards the season starting is Media Day. Tomorrow the Big East will have their big to-do at the New York Athletic Club. Marquette will be represented by head coach Buzz Williams along with senior guards Junior Cadougan and Trent Lockett.
One of the highlights of Media Day is finding out who the coaches voted to the preseason all-conference teams. The Big East will announce a first team, second team, and honorable mention in addition to individual awards for preseason player of the year and preseason rookie of the year. It's nearly impossible to guess what 15 people are going to think past the six best players in the league, so we're not going to expend the energy needed to do that. We will, however, offer our prediction as to which six players will make the All-Big East First Team. One of the six players on the first team will be named Preseason Player Of The Year, so feel free to try to figure that out.
