The Marquette Related Tweet Of The Week: 10/23-10/29

Jamie Rhodes-US PRESSWIRE

We turn our attention to the freebie T-shirts this week. Or, rather, what we thought were freebie T-shirts...

Here at Anonymous Eagle, we're hip to all the latest trends on the internet... or so we tell ourselves. We know how much the kids today like to keep in touch and communicate through social media. In particular, we're big fans of the service known the world over as Twitter. Each week, we'll bring you a tweet that we found particularly interesting/funny/thought provoking/ridiculous that has some kind of Marquette connection to it.

I got my season tickets in the mail this week, and I imagine that the rest of you season ticket holders got yours as well. To go along with that, it looks like the students got an email about how to pick up their Fanatics T-shirt, or at least that's what I gleaned from reading this tweet:

Well, I guess that's one way of looking at it. Another would be that you got a shirt for free while paying roughly $6 per game for tickets to Marquette basketball, while the same seats on the opposite end of the building cost the regular season ticket holders $35 a game. Another would be that Direct Supply paid for the shirt for you to wear at the games, because the Bradley Center looks much more interesting bathed in gold than it does in blue. But these are just ideas that pop into my head.
