After 45 minutes of play, Marquette and Georgetown are still scoreless in the Big East Women's Soccer Championship game.
Play has mostly been on Marquette's end, including a spectacular chance after the ball deflected off of Georgetown keeper Emma Newins and was loose in the box. But after a series of deflections, the ball ended up pinned under a fallen Lisa Philbin and the referee called for a stoppage.
Marquette has done an excellent job neutralizing Big East Offensive Player Of The Year Daphne Corboz, and continuing that will be the key to finding a goal to bring the Big East title home to Milwaukee.
Marquette has the lead on shots, 7-2.
