The dynamic duo of Jae Crowder and Darius Johnson-Odom have struck again. Tonight's victims were the Scarlet Knights of Rutgers. DJO torched the nets in the first half, scoring 19 of his 21 points. Meanwhile Jae did some of everything all game long. The Weapon stuffed the stat sheet once again with 27 points (11 of 14 shooting), 7 boards, 4 assists, and 3 steals.
To Rutgers' credit, they hung around after looking like they were going to get their doors blown off early. They even crept back within 6 in the second half, while Marquette was kind of coasting. But the Golden Eagles put the pedal down from that point on and the issue was never in doubt.
We'll have a full flavored recap later on. But for now, feel free to add to the elation in the comments!
