Post-Game Jubilation Thread: #10 Marquette 82, Rutgers 65
The dynamic duo of Jae Crowder and Darius Johnson-Odom have struck again. Tonight's victims were the Scarlet Knights of Rutgers. DJO torched the nets in the first half, scoring 19 of his 21 points. Meanwhile Jae did some of everything all game long. The Weapon stuffed the stat sheet once again with 27 points (11 of 14 shooting), 7 boards, 4 assists, and 3 steals.
To Rutgers' credit, they hung around after looking like they were going to get their doors blown off early. They even crept back within 6 in the second half, while Marquette was kind of coasting. But the Golden Eagles put the pedal down from that point on and the issue was never in doubt.
We'll have a full flavored recap later on. But for now, feel free to add to the elation in the comments!

Holy balls.
Did Huggy die? I’m kind of worried that a performance like that would’ve killed Huggy.
I'm on a raptor.
If not the performance
Then the binge drinking he went on after the game. That was ridiculous. I cant wait till ND just gets destroyed, hopefully its by us in the BET.
It's looking more and more like 2011 for the Irish.
They might make a little noise in the BET, since they’ve apparently figured out the conference, but once they get to the Dance: good night now.
I'm on a raptor.
Yup
They know how they are gonna beat teams every year because they keep the same types of players around every year.
Mac said on the postgame
“I think West Virginia may practice tonight.”
That’s about right.

I wonder

They let ND shoot 60% in both halves.
Huggy said he doesn’t remember his teams ever doing that and “I coached some bad teams.”
WHEN?

I'm also very impressed
With the effort Rutgers gave all night. Real good Big East stuff out there at the Bradley Center.
