Memphis to the Big East?
CBSSports.com's Brett McMurphy is reporting that the Big East and Memphis are close to finishing arrangements to bring the Tigers on board as an all sports member.
So, 17 basketball teams? Cut the schedule to 16 games and play everyone once?
Anyone else have an opinion?

It makes perfect sense
I don’t know why they were dragging their feet in the first go-round. I know their football team doesn’t bring much cache, but from a hoops standpoint it’s great. It’ll help replace some of the punch we’ll be loosing with Cuse and Pitt departing. Bring ’em on.
We all have to chase one rabbit. If we try to chase two rabbits we won't catch either of 'em.
I don't understand why the football schools would agree to this.
Memphis is a dumpster fire inside a train wreck for football.
We pull our pants up and do our jobs here.

Plus...
With a 17th basketball member, we have coverage if/when Notre Dame finally breaks down and joins a conference as a full member (and it’s not the Big East)

Even though having ND in the Big East helps Bball, somewhat
I hope they leave for the Big 10, so it can become the most boring conference in america.
