8.20 Big East Weekly Women's Soccer Awards

Ally Miller (#3) is the Big East's first Defensive Player Of The Week for 2012.

Marquette junior defender Ally Miller was named Big East Defensive Player Of The Week today as the Big East announced their first weekly awards of the season. The 2012 preseason Big East Defensive Player Of The Year was instrumental in Marquette shutting out St. Bonaventure on their way to a 4-0 win on Friday night. Miller also picked up an assist on Marquette's first goal of the game, which also turned out to be the game winning goal as well. The honor from the Big East helped Miller pick up her second consecutive GoMarquette.com Student-Athlete Of The Week award as well.
