The #24/#19 women's soccer team (3-2-1) begin their path to their fourth straight Big East American Division title as they travel to Pitt (5-4-0) tonight. They look to snap a three game winless streak in their last regular season match with the Panthers, as Pitt will leave for the ACC next season. Marquette is 6-0-1 all time against Pitt and 6-1-0 all time in Big East season openers. Junior Kate Reigel leads the Golden Eagles in scoring so far this season with two goals and two assists. 13 different Golden Eagles have recorded either a goal or an assist so far this season.

As for the Panthers, this will be the first Big East match for head coach Greg Miller. The Panthers have already won more games this season (5) than they did all of last season. Finnish freshman Roosa Arvas is the scoring leader for Pitt with a goal and six assists. Junior Morgan Sharick leads the Panthers in goals, and strangely, she's listed as a defender. Sophomore Nicole D'Agostino has played every minute in net for Pitt, recording a goals-against average of 1.09 and stopping 76.2% of shots on goal.
