Anyway: word is that Michael Hunt is taking over the Marquette beat at the Journal Sentinel, replacing Tom Enlund (and before him, the irreplaceable Todd Rosiak). The move will leave the Journal Sentinel without a general sports columnist, which is kind of stunning, when you think about it. Oh, right: insert joke about his name here.

Marquette announced the slate of exhibition matches that the women's lacrosse team will play this fall. This will be the first organized competition for the squad against other teams before they begin the regular season in the spring. Two highlights on the schedule: a home game against Grand Valley State on Saturday, September 29, and a road game against seven time and current defending NCAA champion Northwestern on October 17th.
