Big East Week 5 Picks – Lost Edition

Faithful reader, there's no excuse for this putrid column this week.  I've spent countless hours and company money watching Lost Season 6 and reading about the episodes online.  As a result, I don't have much analysis to offer.  I have predictions and one line off-the-cuff analyses after the jump.  Think of it as the Twitter preview.

Saturday Games

Vanderbilt @ UConn (-10.5) 11:00 ESPN3

Prediction:  UConn 21 Vanderbilt 16

10.5 points is a lot against an SEC school, even if that school is Vandy.

Tulane @ Rutgers (-20) 1:00 ESPN3

Prediction:  Rutgers 27 Tulane 10

See above, but insert  [ANYONE] for Vanderbilt when it comes to Rutgers getting 20 points.

Florida International @ Pittsburgh (-16) 2:30 ESPN3

Prediction:  Pittsburgh 26  FIU 17

FIU has played Rutgers, Texas A$M and Maryland fairly close and Pitt can't score.

Louisville (-6.5) @ Arkansas St 6:00 ESPN3

Louisville 31 Arkansas St 17

Me likes Charlie Strong and Arkie St has struggled on defense.

Notre Dame (-1.5) @ Boston College 7:00 ESPN Gameplan

Notre Dame 21  Boston College 13

BC's offense is wretched so ND gets an unwatchable win.

Saturday's Zoloft Special - Syracuse gets a break via the bye

Florida Atlantic @ USF (-20) 6:00 ESPN3

USF 27  FAU 16

There's nothing to suggest USF won't sleepwalk through this game like they last week against the Fightin' Bubba Sparks.

Bye Weeks
West Virginia, Syracuse, Cincinnati
