Phase One Is Not Breaking The Blog On My First Day.

Welcome back my friends, to the show that's just startin'.  This ... is Anonymous Eagle.

If you've managed to find your way here, you're probably (1) one of the seven people I've invited to write for the site; (2) someone who's watching me try to decipher the social niceties of Twitter (@anonymouseagle, but you already knew that); or (3) my surprisingly cyber-literate grandpappy.  (Hi, Grandpa!)

If you don't fall into one of those categories, BULLY FOR YOU.  Consider yourself my favorite reader of the week.

ANYWAY, this is SBN's new blog devoted to your Marquette Golden Eagles.  I'm Rubie, and I'll be your host, nature guide, and resident cranky guy.  Why am I Mr. Manager, you ask?  Because I was in an Introduction to Sociology class at Marquette with Dwyane Wade in 2001.  And you weren't.

Other authors will be coming onboard shortly, and we'll introduce 'em as we go along and figure out what we're doing.  Sadly, none of them will be as clever or charming as I am.  Some, however, will have more hair.

One last thing before we get to it: you might notice, if you join AE as a member, that the last line reads something like this: "And remember that we're talking about 19- to 23-year-old young men who are playing ball for free."  I added that line not for your benefit, but for mine: remind me to calm the heck down every once in a while.

Enough seriousness.  After the jump: seeing if I can properly use the jump.

Victory.

Let's do this thing.
