Marquette volleyball travels to DeKalb, IL this afternoon at 4pm to wrap up their regular season with a match against Northern Illinois. The Golden Eagles will be looking for revenge for a hotly contested loss from earlier this season at the Bluejay Invitational. In that match, the Huskies prevailed 3-1 as two sets went to 25-23 and Marquette & Northern Illinois both won sets that went to extra points.

Since that match, Northern Illinois won the MAC Western division, driven by MAC Player Of The Year Lauren Wicinski and MAC Coach of the Year Ray Gooden. As successful as their regular season was, their MAC Championship hopes were cut down by sixth seeded Central Michigan in the MAC Championship Game on Sunday.

Northern Illinois presents an opportunity for Marquette to bolster their NCAA Tournament resume. The Huskies currently sit at 17th in the RPI while Marquette carries a ranking of 39th into the match. The NCAA field will be announced tomorrow at 5pm on ESPNU.

Live stats for the match will be available here.
