Marquette (6-5) returns from a nine day break due to final exams to face South Dakota State (7-4, 2-0 Summit League) tonight at the Al McGuire Center. Tip off is at 7pm and for those of you who can't make it down to the AMC, the game will be streamed for free on GoMarquette.com with Kent Sommerfeld and Kyle Dlabay on the call.
It's also Christmas At The Al Night, with $2 admission with a new toy donation for the Salvation Army and various Christmas themed in game entertainment. GoMarquette.com says that The Eagle will be dressed in special Christmas clothes, so no idea if that means this or something even more special.
The Jackrabbits come in with 2 players scoring in double digits, Jennie Sunnarborg with 11.4/game and Jill Young at 10.7/game. Sunnarborg is also SDSU's leading rebounder, averaging 5.9 caroms per contest. As a team, SDSU is averaging 19 turnovers a game, so this one shapes up to resemble a volleyball match, as Marquette coughs it up more than 22 times a game on average.
WILD PREDICTION: Whichever team is further under their average number of turnovers per game will win.
