Women's Basketball Game 10: Marquette at #3/#3 Notre Dame

It's December 7, so you know what that means! Time to open the Big East women's basketball schedule!

Wait, that can't be right.

For the second time in as many seasons, the Marquette women's basketball team opens up the Big East schedule with a road game before December 10th against a top 3 team. While there are still 4 games on the non-conference schedule to be played, Marquette (5-4) will take on #3/#3 Notre Dame (7-1) in the Purcell Pavilion at 6pm Central time tonight. The game will be streamed free by here.

The Irish have only slipped once this season, with the loss coming on a road trip against Brittney Griner and the #1 ranked Baylor Bears. Three Irish players average in double digits, led by junior guard Skylar Diggins at 17.6 points/game. Redshirt senior Devereaux Peters leads ND in rebounding at 6.5/game.

Notre Dame leads the all time series between the two squads at 30-8. The Irish were the preseason pick to win the Big East, while Marquette was picked to finish 11th.
