The trip to Chicago didn't end well for Terri Mitchell's squad, as #21/22 Marquette fell to #10/14 DePaul 64-56 on Saturday night.  The Golden Eagles took a 29-26 lead into halftime, but DePaul reeled off the first 13 points of the second half to take control and didn't look back, eventually extending the lead to 19 on a Anna Quigley 3 pointer with 7:55 remaining.  Marquette closed the game on a 16-5 run, but it was too little, too late.  The loss breaks a overall 4 game winning streak and a 5 game winning streak in games played away from the Al McGuire Center.

Marquette falls to a tie with Rutgers for 5th place at 7-4 in Big East play and 19-5 overall.  They get a chance to bounce back in New Jersey against Seton Hall on Wednesday at 6pm Central.

Men's golf lost both of their matches on Saturday to eventual champion Kennesaw State in the semifinals and to Xavier in the consolation bracket to finish with a 2-2 record at The Match Play event in Florida.

Women's tennis defeated Iowa State 5-2 in the Helfaer Tennis Stadium on Friday night with 5 singles victories.

Peter Bolgert, Connor Callahan and Carly Condon all qualified for the Big East Indoor Track & Field Championships on February 19th with qualifying times in the mile at the Hoosier Hills Invitational event in Bloomington, IN on Friday.
