Marquette Gets 2013 Commitment

For those of you that have more to do this Labor Day weekend than sit on the couch and scan Twitter, Mr. K has you covered. The big news on the MU front came yesterday when multiple sources confirmed that Golden Eagles had gained a commitment from 2013 SF Deonte Burton.  Burton is a Milwaukee native that began his career at Vincent High School.  He has since transferred to Brewster Academy in New Hampshire, but he will be returning home to don the Blue and Gold in 2013.  

Burton is currently ranked as the #44 and #36 player in the 2013 class by scout.com and espn.com respectively.  So, needless to say, this is another excellent get for Coach Buzz Williams and Company.  My favorite part of Deonte's scouting report was this:

"The lefty is explosive and tends to hunt dunks on the offensive end. He is a slasher that is devastating in transition"

Yeah, that could be fun.  If you need a visual aid to illustrate that point, here you go
