Shortly after announcing the program had received a national letter of intent from Milwaukee product Deonte Burton, the men's basketball twitter feed confirmed that MU had received a fourth LOI, this one from Memphis stud Jajuan Johnson:
#mubb's 2013 recruiting class now at four members with signing of JaJuan Johnson from Memphis.

Johnson is the most recent recruit to sign up for the Buzz Williams Experience, having given his verbal commitment to MU just twelve days ago. There was initially some confusion regarding whether Johnson would sign an NLI in the fall signing period; his mother, Shaun Williams, told Paint Touches' Mark Strotman two weeks ago that the original plan was for Jajuan to wait until the spring period to sign, so he could see "how the coaches coached and the players played." Johnson backed away from that position later, telling Paint Touches he would "probably sign early," after watching Marquette play its first three games. Now that his Herbie Hancock is on the dotted line, that's all a moot point.
Johnson hails from Southwind High School in Memphis. He's ranked No. 33 nationally by Scout, No. 63 by Rivals and No. 63 by ESPN.
