Big East Big Five: Week Four

Last week was highly productive for the Big East. Can this week keep the streak going?

No, Lorenzo Brown, you may not have a high five if you beat Connecticut.

The Big East won the Big East/SEC Challenge easily, no thanks to the beatdown Marquette took from Florida. As I guessed last week, the Cincinnati-Alabama game was great, including this buzzer beater from Cashmere Wright to win the game.

We have one major event this week, and there's two Big East teams involved, so both of those games are included here. There's still a strong schedule of games this week, and I actually had to eliminate games from the list.

Last Week: 5-0, although no one really won in the Georgetown-Tennessee game.

Overall: 11-4

Tuesday, December 4: #15/23 Georgetown vs Texas (6pm, ESPN) and Connecticut vs #25/24 North Carolina State (30 minutes after the end of GTown-UT) - Ok, yeah, Texas lost to Chaminade, but this is the Jimmy V Classic, and the basketball gods will strike me down for not including both games.

Tuesday, December 4: #5/6 Louisville at College of Charleston (8pm, ESPNU) - If anyone can explain WHY the Cardinals are going TO Charleston, I'd love to hear it. Watch out for condensation, though.

Wednesday, December 5: South Florida at #23/22 Oklahoma State (8pm, ESPNU) - The Bulls are coming off a quality win against Georgia in the Big East/SEC Challenge and travel to Stillwater for a tough road test against Le`Bryan Nash and the Cowboys.

Wednesday, December 5: Villanova vs Temple (8pm, ESPN2) - Luckily for the Wildcats, this Big 5 (not this list, the Philadelphia round robin) series game is being played on their campus, so they have a slight edge for a win that they need after dropping games to Alabama, Columbia (yes, the Ivy League school), and La Salle.
