I said it last time, and I'll repeat it again here: Either Jae Crowder is on the All-Big East First Team or we riot.
The Absolut Weapon was all over the floor for the Golden Eagles today, tossing in 29 points on 8 of 14 shooting, including 4 of 7 behind the arc. Crowder also added 12 rebounds for yet another double-double, an assist, and - SURPRISE - three more steals. Darius Johnson-Odom wasn't far behind his fellow senior with 24 points as Marquette beat a George Blaney coached Connecticut team in Connecticut for the third consecutive season.
Ryan Boatright might have been MU's MVP even though he plays for UConn, though. In one segment of the second half, Boatright made a three pointer and pointed to the home crowd while Marquette sprinted down court behind him which resulted in Jamil Wilson going to the line for 2 free throws and followed that up with getting whistled for a unsportsmanlike conduct technical foul, allowing MU to stem a UConn run and score 5 points on one possession.
We'll be back later with a full recap, but for now, post your thoughts in the comments section below!
