Geno Auriemma brings his #4/4 Connecticut Huskies to the Al McGuire Center for Marquette's last home game of the season this afternoon at 4pm. The first 2,000 fans in attendance will receive a free gold Tshirt to go along with the Gold Out event for the game. For those of you who can't make it in person, the game will be televised live on Time Warner Sports 32 in the Milwaukee area with Steve "The Homer" True and Michelle Griffin-Wenzel on the call.
Do I need to go into detail about how talented the Huskies are? Even in what counts as a down season for them, they're still 25-3 overall with a 12-2 record in Big East play and ranked #4 in the country. They rebounded from having their 99 game home winning streak broken by St. John's with a win at Pittsburgh four days ago. Senior guard Tiffany Hayes leads the Huskies in scoring at 15.5 a game. Sophomore center Stefanie Dolson may lead UConn in rebounding at 6 per contest, but four Huskies average over 5 rebounds per game.
