The Most Ridiculous Marquette Related Tweet Of The Week

It's a long off season, even if we're just marking time until Marquette's soccer teams begin defending their division titles in August. We're going to have to come up with some way to entertain ourselves, and this is one of them. Each week, we'll feature a Marquette sports related tweet that's completely absurd. It might be someone saying something ridiculous, maybe it'll be a link to a video of Steve Novak pouring in 10 threes in a NBA playoff game, or who knows. Ridiculous is a nice wide term to keep this going for a long time.

So hit the jump for this week's opening installment!

This one's from back on April 28th. Vander Blue was settling in to watch the Miami Heat in the NBA Playoffs and this response popped up in the #mubb tag stream:

Two things: 1) If you're going to claim to be a Marquette fan with that #mubb tag in your tweet, maybe attacking the guys on the team for wanting to watch a basketball team play isn't the best idea.

And 2) Did it ever occur to you that maybe Vander knows one of the guys on the Heat just a little bit? Maybe a guy who came to Marquette Madness? Maybe the Marquette alum who's had the most success in the NBA? Dwyane Wade? Ringing any bells?

Have you seen a ridiculous Marquette related tweet? Would you like to see it in this feature in the future? Send the direct URL link to anon.eagle@gmail.com and be sure to send your Twitter tag along with it so we can give you credit for finding it!
