The efforts of the ninjas in the Big East offices deprived me of the opportunity to wildly speculate about the preseason all conference teams in men's soccer and women's soccer. However, I'm on to their sneaky games (read as: volleyball starts after soccer, so I have a head start), so I will be able to take a wild swing at the preseason all conference team for volleyball.

As you can guess from the picture that leads off this article, at least one Marquette player made my list. Hit the jump, and we'll get to my guess on preseason player of the year and the 12 person all conference team.

She was last year's preseason and postseason player of the year, so Louisville senior outside hitter Lola Arslanbekova is the easy lock for my preseason player of the year for 2012. As for the rest of the team, here's my best guess on how the Big East's coaches will vote. I don't have a libero on this list, but that's because 1) last year's postseason Libero of the Year was a senior and 2) There wasn't a libero on the all-Big East second team, so it's hard to say whether the Big East requires one on the preseason team. Players are listed in alphabetical order by school.
