After Saturday's thrilling triumph over PITT and a thunderous* 3-0 start to the Big East season, YOUR Marquette Golden Eagles busted through the door in the Associated Press' Top 25 poll, claiming the last spot in the rankings with 177 points. After spending the entire year in the top 25 last season, this is the first week Marquette has been included in the AP Top 25 in 2012-'13.
The ESPN Coaches' Poll is a different story, though: Marquette garnered just 23 points in the "find an SID or video coordinator to fill out this ballot, I gotta go to practice" poll, which placed the Golden Eagles in 28th place, just behind Oregon and Georgetown.
* Two overtime wins plus a one-point win in a glorified rugby game against Georgetown equals a "thunderous" start, you ask? When you're two weeks removed from a loss to UW-Green Bay, you bet your ass it does. THUNDER, BABY. THUNDER.
