Pittsburgh 68, Providence 64 - Yet another road victory in the Big East. After last night's action, Big East teams are 21-23 at home, according to Ken Pomeroy. Lamar Patterson was the top scorer for the Panthers, who never trailed. Three Friars scored in double digits, led by Bryce Cotton with 24. You can check out Cardiac Hill for more.

Villanova 73, #5/5 Louisville 64 - [Insert loss to Columbia joke here.] The Cardinals shot the ball terribly and didn't get to nearly the number of offensive rebounds that they usually do. Meanwhile, they let Villanova shoot the hell out of the ball and let the Wildcats get to the free throw line more than Cardinals' opponents normally do. That, kids, is a recipe for disaster. With the UL loss, Marquette now has sole possession of second place in the Big East behind undefeated Syracuse.
