After C. Nortey was kicked in the back of the leg on accident, freshman Nick Parianos came on to replace the redshirt sophomore striker. Marquette gained possession and was controlling with passing out on the right wing.

A cross by Kelmend Islami came in to the six yard box in the 37th minute, and as it went past Parianos, he put an downward header strike on the ball. The added velocity and bounce put it past Providence keeper Keasel Broome and into the far corner of the net.

Marquette leads 2-0 as the first half continues...
