Providence Cuts Into The Lead

In the 67th minute, the refereeing crew had a bit of confusion as the touch line assistant gave a throw in deep in Marquette's defensive end to Providence, but the head referee was signalling for Marquette. It was officially given to PC, and they got the ball thrown in deep to the goal line.

A quick pass by Phil Towler up to Manny Andrade turned into a hard strike to the left corner, where it slipped between Charlie Lyon's leaping fingers and the cross bar to give the Friars their first goal of the match.
