Women's Basketball Game 22: Marquette (11-10, 3-5) at Connecticut (20-1, 7-1)

This isn't how you want to follow up your first home Big East win.

Marquette's going to need hustle plays like this from Arlesia Morse to have a shot at UConn.

Marquette tries to pull an upset as they head to Storrs to face off with UConn tonight at 6pm Central. The game will be televised on SNY and locally by TWC Sports 32.

Here's what I wrote about the Huskies for Marquette's first game against them this season:

Connecticut comes in to this game ranked #2/3 in the country, with their only loss coming to #3/2 Notre Dame back on Saturday. They did bounce back from that loss with a blowout win over Georgetown on Wednesday. Four Huskies average in double digits, led by 16.3 points from sophomore forward Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis. Freshman forward Breanna Stewart leads UConn in rebounding with 7.3 boards per contest.

Not much has changed for UConn. The Huskies have won their six games since playing Marquette, including wins over three ranked teams - Louisville, Duke, and Syracuse - in consecutive games by an average of 23 points per game. They flipped their position in the polls, now sitting at #3/2. Mosqueda-Lewis has stepped it up, moving her average to 17 points per contest. Stewart has slipped on her rebounding average only slightly and now shares the team lead with Stefanie Dolson at 6.7 rpg.
