Nick Noskowiak Commits To Marquette

Woooo, I guess.

News breaks on Twitter, and so I turn to CBSSports.com's Jeff Goodman...

TO THE GOOGLE MACHINES!

Noskowiak is either a 6'2" or 6'3" guard from Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. He's currently wrapping up his sophomore year in high school, which puts him in the recruiting class of 2015. Sun Prairie reached the regional championship game as the top seed in their region of the WIAA Division 1 tournament this past season, falling to fourth seeded Middleton by a final score of 75-63. Noskowiak had 14 points in the losing effort.

Noskowiak chose to commit to Marquette amidst other offers, including those from UWM & UWGB, as well as Northern Iowa, Iowa State, and new Big East rival Creighton.

All reports point toward Noskowiak being a point guard, so he'd be scheduled to arrive as Derrick Wilson graduates and Duane Wilson and John Dawson enter their junior years. That'd be a pretty sweet arrangement for both player and coach, as Noskowiak would have very little responsibility thrust upon him when he first dons the blue and gold.

Two things to keep in mind here, though: 1) There's still about 18 months before Noskowiak is allowed to sign a national letter of intent and 2) Marquette head coach Buzz Williams currently has no players committed for the class of 2014. In short, I don't know what the hurry is on either side to have a verbal commitment.
