Boy, it just doesn't stop, does it?
Today started off with Paint Touches reporting that Vander Blue was exploring his 2013 NBA Draft potential, then that was followed up by the men's basketball team announcing that Jamal Ferguson had been granted his release and would be transferring out. More than enough news for a Tuesday, right?
Well, CBSSports.com's Jeff Goodman didn't think so.
Marquette big man Chris Otule has decided to return for a 6th-year, source told CBSSports. Should be a formality to receive extra year.

Well, that's fantastic news!
To recap for those of you who might not have been paying super close attention to the career arc of The Doctor Of Defense:
2008-09: Broke his foot.
2009-10: Broke his OTHER foot.
2010-11: Had one of the most dominant defensive seasons in Marquette history, tying Amal McCaskill for the 9th most blocks in a season.
2011-12: Picked up right where he left off for 8 games, then tore his ACL.
2012-13: Took a while to shake off the rust from ACL surgery but rounded into AWESOME form late in the season.
Big Chris currently sits fifth on the MU all time blocks list, and with a strong final season, he can easily surpass McCaskill for 2nd most all time, and that's still impressive, because Jim McIlvaine still has more than twice as many as anyone else. I know I'm already looking forward to cheering him next year.
