#8 LA Lakers 72, #9 Milwaukee 68 - Robert Sacre scored three points the old fashioned way with 1:44 remaining to put the Lakers up for good and send them on to the next round of tournament play. Sacre finished with 16 points, two behind Marcus Landry for the team high. John Henson had 16 points to lead the Bucks. It was a quiet game for Marquette involvement, as Lazar Hayward had five points and three rebounds in 12 minutes and Junior Cadougan did not play.
#6 Toronto 95, #22 Denver 78 - 'SUP, BUYCKS? Dwight Buycks had a team high 18 points and 10 assists, including a sweet dish to Chris Wright on the break at the end of this highlight package to lead the Raptors over the Nuggets. Buycks also found time for six rebounds and a steal, and given everything else he was doing, we'll overlook the five turnovers. Darius Johnson-Odom had nine points, one rebound, and two assists in the losing effort.
#5 Charlotte 92, #21 Memphis 84 - Ultimately, the Grizzlies dug themselves too big of a hole when they were down 22 to the Bobcats in the first half. Did they come back? Sure. Did Vander Blue score the bucket that gave the Grizzlies their first lead? You betcha. Did Charlotte pull away at the end? Yep. Blue finished with a game high 24 points, including a five point burst at the end of the third to pull Memphis within three points and 11 in the fourth quarter. He also had three rebounds, an assist, and two steals.
#1 Golden State 79, #16 Dallas 76 - Jae Crowder only played eight minutes after leaving in the second quarter with an ankle injury and the Mavericks lost by three. Coincidence? MAYBE. In fact, the Warriors had to go on a 17-2 run late in the game to be able to sneak out with the win. Noted bench celebrator Kent Bazemore had a game high 25 points to lead Golden State, while Justin Dentmon was the top scorer for the Mavericks with 19. Crowder had two points, three rebounds, and two steals in his limited action.
