7.20 NBA Summer League Roundup

The consolation side of the Vegas tournament wrapped up their action yesterday.

Jeff Hanisch-USA TODAY Sports

Sacramento 93, Atlanta 87 - Ben McLemore's 27 points, including 19 in the third quarter, was the main story in this one, but for Marquette fans, the more interesting news was Trent Lockett getting the start for the Kings. He played 20 minutes, scoring six points in the process, but also added a rebound and five assists, including this lightning quick one around Lucas Noguiera.

San Antonio 90, Milwaukee 80 - Anyone else get a nervous twitch of Hoya Paranoia upon finding out that Hollis Thompson had a game high 21 points on 8-12 shooting to lead the Spurs? Junior Cadougan got one last look from the Bucks here in their final summer league game. He got seven minutes of action in this one, contributing only a rebound and an assist to the Bucks' cause.

Memphis 91, Denver 84 - Vander Blue scored six of the Grizzlies' points in a 12-2 run to close out the Nuggets in their summer league finale. Blue had just one steal in the game, but it came at a perfect time: up 6, just under three minutes left in the game. Not only was it perfectly timed, but it also turned into a great heads up play by Blue for a breakaway dunk. You can check out video of it here. Blue finished with 13 points, five rebounds, and an assist as well. Darius Johnson-Odom contributed five points, four rebounds, an assist and a steal to the Nuggets' cause.

Today's Vegas Summer League Schedule:

9pm Central: #1 Golden State vs #8 LA Lakers
