Oklahoma City 79, Orlando 78 - The Thunder used a 10-0 run very late in the game to take a lead before Jeremy Lamb hit a step back 15 footer to give them the lead for good. More importantly, Dwight Buycks asserted his control of the point guard spot as the game went on, partly because he committed just one turnover in 22 minutes, partly because Reggie Jackson, who snagged the starting spot in this one, had seven giveaways, and partly because Buycks scored the last five points of that 10-0 run on consecutive OKC possessions. Buycks finished with 11 points, five assists, and two rebounds.

Boston 93, Detroit 63 - The Celtics opened up a 30-9 lead in the first 10 minutes of the game and never looked back. A big reason why the game was never in doubt? A game high 22 points from Darius Johnson-Odom, 14 of which came in the second half as the C's expanded their lead to 30. DJO hit on eight of his 14 field goal attempts while grabbing five rebounds and handing out two assists as well.
