The Marquette Related Tweet Of The Week: 9/17-9/23

Today we examine how people manage their Twitter accounts, specifically through the use of the block button.

Win McNamee

Here at Anonymous Eagle, we're hip to all the latest trends on the internet... or so we tell ourselves. We know how much the kids today like to keep in touch and communicate through social media. In particular, we're big fans of the service known the world over as Twitter. Each week, we'll bring you a tweet that we found particularly interesting/funny/thought provoking/ridiculous that has some kind of Marquette connection to it.

We're diving all the way back to last week Tuesday, the first day of Tweet Of The Week eligibility for this week's entry. Lord only knows what provoked our friends over at Paint Touches to use the web interface for Twitter like some sort of Philistine while searching for updates on Vander Blue's workout with the Miami Heat. But they did, and this is what they found:

Now, that's not the Tweet Of The Week. I wouldn't want to be accused of making fun of Paint Touches for getting blocked by Blue when the AE Twitter account hasn't been blocked, no sir. Instead, this is the Tweet Of The Week:

First one since February 22, 2012, in fact, although I don't know if we're allowed to count stats that occurred against Rutgers.

In any case, the Philadelphia 76ers clearly don't mind that Blue has restricted his blocking to Twitter for the last 19 months, as Blue signed a training camp contract with them on Thursday.

Have you seen a Marquette related tweet that you'd like to see in this spot in the future? Let us know on Twitter or send the direct URL link to anon.eagle@gmail.com and be sure to send your Twitter tag along with it so we can give you credit for finding it!
