2.16 Around The Big East

Aw, crap, not a DePaul game to recap......

Providence 84, DePaul 61 - Providence had a 16-0 run early in the game to take a 19-4 lead with more than 36 minutes still to play, but the game was essentially over at that point. The lead would quickly balloon to 20, and DePaul would only ever manage to drag it back down to 14 late in the second half.

If DePaul isn't even going to be competitive now that they've dismissed Cleveland Melvin, I can't be forced to feign enthusiasm about doing these Big East recaps when they're involved in the only game on the schedule.

All five starters for Providence had at least 10 points, led by 22 from Bryce Cotton. DePaul was led by 18 from Brandon Young.

Vin Parise and Jason Benetti got paid a lot of money by Fox Sports to watch this game and tell you things about it, so I'll leave the rest of this in their capable hands.
