The Marquette Related Tweet Of The Week: 4/22-4/28

Ah, the fabled double pun.

Gregory Shamus

Here at Anonymous Eagle, we're hip to all the latest trends on the internet... or so we tell ourselves. We know how much the kids today like to keep in touch and communicate through social media. In particular, we're big fans of the service known the world over as Twitter. Each week, we'll bring you a tweet that we found particularly interesting/funny/thought provoking/ridiculous that has some kind of Marquette connection to it.

I presume by now that you're all aware that Matt Carlino has transferred from BYU to Marquette.  Or, rather, he will, starting for this coming fall.  I mean, if you're not aware of this, you should run over and check out the two posts about it on the site, one assessing the upsides and downsides to Carlino joining the team and the other discussing the doubt amongst Marquette fans regarding what he can contribute to the men's basketball team.

In any case, when a player transfers in, you tend to focus on how he will help your team and not so much on how fans of the team that he's departing will deal with it.

But, luckily, we have an example of how one parent dealt with his child...

I do love some good word play in Tweet Of The Week, and in this case, we get a double dose of it!

Thanks to @TeecycleTim for passing this one along!
