The Marquette Related Tweet Of The Week: 7/8-7/14

Wondering how LeBron James ties into Marquette basketball? It makes sense, trust me.

Here at Anonymous Eagle, we're hip to all the latest trends on the internet... or so we tell ourselves. We know how much the kids today like to keep in touch and communicate through social media. In particular, we're big fans of the service known the world over as Twitter. Each week, we'll bring you a tweet that we found particularly interesting/funny/thought provoking/ridiculous that has some kind of Marquette connection to it.

Last week, everyone was caught in the throes of LeBron's Decision 2: Electric Boogaloo.  Is he staying in Miami?  Is he going to Cleveland?  How are we going to find out?  Should we trust Chris Sheridan?  What isn't Woj telling us?  All of that kind of stuff.

In the middle of the haze on Thursday came a report that there would be some kind of announcement that afternoon.  Not an announcement of an announcement, mind you, just the report of an announcement.  That led to this tweet:

Ah, yes.  The stupidest day in Marquette basketball history.  I have to give credit to Scott Kuykendall for actually announcing something at 5pm that day, since the announcement appears to have been completely invented out of thin air.

Have you seen a Marquette related tweet that you'd like to see in this spot in the future? Let us know on Twitter or send the direct URL link to anon.eagle@gmail.com and be sure to send your Twitter tag along with it so we can give you credit for finding it!
