We return from a one week hiatus to bring you the arrival of MU's involvement in the NBA Summer League!

Will we see these kinds of moves from the Big Fella in Vegas?
Will we see these kinds of moves from the Big Fella in Vegas?

Here at Anonymous Eagle, we're hip to all the latest trends on the internet... or so we tell ourselves. We know how much the kids today like to keep in touch and communicate through social media. In particular, we're big fans of the service known the world over as Twitter. Each week, we'll bring you a tweet that we found particularly interesting/funny/thought provoking/ridiculous that has some kind of Marquette connection to it.

The NBA Summer League is already underway.  Well, part of it.  The Orlando Summer League, AKA "The less popular summer league because they don't allow fans into the games," has been running for a few days now.  Unlike last year, there are no Marquette players participating in that end of things, so not a lot of reason for us to keep an eye on it.

The Vegas Summer League, AKA "WOO BASKETBALL IN VEGAS," gets started on Friday, and that one will have a number of Marquette alumni involved.  For example:

In addition to Ox wearing the red and black, Vander Blue will be playing for the Spurs, Jamil Wilson will be suiting up for the Wizards, and Trent Lockett will be a part of the D-League Select team that participates in the Vegas league.

The game action starts for that foursome on Friday night.  The Spurs will play the Kings in a game that will be broadcast on NBA TV at 9pm Central, while the NBDL Select Team plays the Pelicans at 9:30.  That game will only be available live via the NBA's Summer League Live streaming package, which will set you back $15.  That NBDL-Pelicans game will be tape delayed on NBA TV at 5am Central, if you're the DVR-ing type.

UPDATE: It looks like Dwight Buycks will be playing for the Raptors in the Vegas league!  They'll play the Lakers at 5pm Central on Friday, and that will be on NBA TV.

Check back in daily starting on Saturday for updates and so forth!
