Steve Wojciechowski's national television broadcast debut as head coach of Marquette basketball will be coming sooner than expected.
Today, ESPN announced the full schedule of games that are set to be broadcast as a part of the 2014 College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon. As is their right with access to Big Ten home games, ESPN snagged the Marquette-Ohio State game on Tuesday, November 18, to be a part of the 19 game line up.
That game will be the second game of the season for Coach Wojo and his very inexperienced roster, but there's never really a good time to be thrust into the fire. The game will tip off on ESPN2 at 6:30pm Central time, 30 minutes after the start of Michigan State-Duke on ESPN, which is part of the yearly Champions Classic event between those two schools as well as Kentucky and Kansas.
Marquette is the only Big East team amongst the 19 games, which includes a women's basketball doubleheader on Monday night. For those of you keeping track of such things, Marquette now has four games scheduled to be broadcast on the ESPN family of networks this season so far, while Virginia Tech has zero, since the only thing on their schedule so far is the Cancun Challenge on CBS Sports Network.
