Yesterday, the Marquette men's soccer Twitter teased the availability of a replica jersey:

As that's not the home kit worn the the last few years nor the road kit that debuted last season, the logical question that arises is "What's that a replica of, then?"
It turns out, that question can be rapidly answered by grabbing redshirt junior forward David Selvaggi and jamming him into the first jersey you can find.

That's Selvaggi wearing Nick Parianos's #13 jersey, but it's still the official 2014 home jersey for Marquette men's soccer. I like how the actual jersey looks with the number split across the colors and the crest on the upper left of the chest. I think the replica is slightly goofy looking with the giant emblem in the middle, leading me to wonder why it doesn't carry a #81 like the Tshirt replicas of the old home kits did, or a #10, as head coach Louis Bennett is always going to make sure there's a #10 on the pitch. I suppose that's the perils of selling replica anythings.
What do you think about the new kits? Stylish? Garish? Am I doing a good enough job distracting you from the fact that you can't buy a replica from the Spirit Shop just quite yet?
